Production Manager US

Currently, we are positioned as a top-ranked innovative player in the supply of added-value ingredients for the food and beverage industry, focusing on fruit preparations, plant-based dairy alternatives, liquid flavors, and other specialty ingredients.  

 

We are a team of almost 900 people in full growth with factories located in Europe (Portugal, France, Germany and Switzerland), North America (Canada and USA) and Africa (Morocco and South Africa).

 

We are looking for a Production Manager to join our team in Logan, Utah, United States.

 

MISSION

Support plant manager in all production processes, with the main target of producing the highest quality product at the lowest cost, complying with all standards and procedures.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to a continuous improvement in human safety, food safety, product quality, cost reduction, efficiency and profitability respecting corporate mission, vision and values
  • Plan, manage and coordinate production department to deliver final product on quantity and quality on time.
  • Assure that the plant has the required resources (trained HR and equipment) to set up production plans and execution to meet customer needs
  • Assure that good manufacturing practices (HACCP, GSFI Standards, Hygiene and Cleanness) are implemented and aligned with the group Quality Policies.
  • Ensure that the plant is auditable every day and at any time.
  • Help assure that all necessary operations records are correct and updated in the system on due time to guarantee that all the relevant reports are available and accurate.
  • Manage, evaluate and develop the skills and technical knowledge of the production team
  • Foster teamwork culture by encouraging team members to share a common goal and accountability.

 

PROFILE

  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience: 3+ years in management or similar roles, preferably in an industrial setting.  
  • Training: HACCP (preferred)
  • Must be able to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment, work effectively both independently and within a team 
  • Must be safety and quality conscious 
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.; be able to stand, bend, lift, twist, and turn, for extended periods of time in a humid environment 
  • Must be available for rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
